Another way to support Dogwood Initiative is to make a bequest in your will.
When you make a will, you guarantee your wishes will be respected beyond your lifetime. Without a will, your assets will be distributed by law, not by your desires, and your loved ones will have more difficulty settling your estate.
After making provision for family and friends, you may want to make a bequest to the organizations and causes you believe in. Bequests are a vital and continuing resource that strengthen Dogwood Initiative’s ability to fight for social justice and preserve BC’s natural heritage for future generations. Consider it a further inheritance for your heirs.
Three simple ways to put your legacy into action:
- Ensure your wishes are respected — prepare or review your will
- Leave a gift in your will for the non-profit organizations that make a
difference in your life.
- Choose your bequest to be either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your assets.
